Making art a priority!
I have always been a part-time artist who was working hard on making art a priority! After spending 39 years working, most recently as a project manager, I am now retired and finally have the time to explore my passion for painting.
As an artist, I create work that is designed to draw you in for a closer look. I experiment with different mediums and substrates, including acrylics on canvas and paper, fluid acrylics on raw canvas, watercolor on canvas, and oils. I use bold, vibrant colors in my floral paintings to create a sense of energy and excitement, while in my most recent work on landscapes, I push the boundaries of color to add interest. I’m inspired by the natural world just outside my door and my goal is to create art that evokes a memory, brings out a smile, and captivates the viewer.
